Summary

ImageToLine is designed so that your images stay private by architecture, not by policy alone: every conversion runs locally in your browser and no image is ever uploaded to a server. This page explains exactly what the site does and does not do with data, in plain language, section by section.

Images: decoded, processed, and exported on your device

Photos you select are decoded in your browser, processed by a Web Worker on your device, and exported as a PNG download. Concretely: the file you choose is read by the browser's own image decoder, converted to raw pixel data in memory, transformed by our conversion engine, and drawn to a canvas. The download you receive is generated from that canvas on your machine.

At no point in this pipeline does image data cross the network. Image files, file names, image contents, and embedded metadata such as EXIF orientation tags are never transmitted to us, never stored on our infrastructure, and never logged. If you close the tab, every trace of your session's images is gone — there is no server-side history to delete because no copy ever existed.

Analytics: anonymous counters, nothing else

We may record anonymous usage events to understand how the tools are used and to prioritize fixes. These events are limited to counters and coarse technical dimensions: which page you used (for example, the outline converter), which effect ran, the input image type and its pixel dimensions, how long a conversion took in milliseconds, and error reasons as short internal codes.

We do not record file names, image content, EXIF data, or anything that could identify your images. The events contain no user identifier, no account (the site has no accounts), and no advertising identifier. Where a configured analytics provider (such as Google Analytics or Plausible) receives these events, the provider's own data handling applies to what it receives; we configure the events to stay within the limits described here.

Local data and cookies

The site may store a small number of cookies or local storage entries: your language preference (English or German) and your light/dark theme choice. These exist purely so the site renders the way you left it. They contain no identifier that is shared anywhere, no advertising profile is created from your image activity, and you can clear them at any time through your browser's normal settings without affecting the tools.

Third parties

The site loads no third-party image services, no fonts that phone home, and no advertising scripts by default. External links (for example, to Wikipedia articles cited on tool pages) are ordinary links you click; loading the linked page is your action, not ours. If analytics or other scripts are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live, with the change dated at the top of this page.

Children and family photos

Coloring pages are often made by parents and teachers for children. Because processing is local, no child's photo is ever collected, stored, or profiled by us — there is nothing for an advertising or data ecosystem to attach to. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, through the tools themselves.

Your rights (GDPR / DSGVO and similar laws)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and comparable laws, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because ImageToLine does not collect or store personal images or personal data repositories tied to you, most of these rights are satisfied automatically by the architecture: there is no image store to access or erase. For anything that does fall under personal data — for example, an email you voluntarily send us later through a published contact channel — we will handle requests under the applicable law and confirm completion in writing.

Data retention

We retain nothing that identifies you or your images. Aggregated, anonymous event counters may be kept indefinitely for statistical purposes; they cannot be linked back to a person or a photo. If a contact channel is opened later and you write to us, correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your matter and then deleted under normal housekeeping.

Security

The most reliable security control for your photos is that they never leave your device. There is no server-side image store to protect against breaches, no upload channel to intercept, and no account credential to steal. The site itself is served over HTTPS in production so that the code you run cannot be tampered with in transit.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — new categories of data, new third parties, new scripts — will be described in a short change note at the top before they take effect.

International transfers

Because your images are processed on your device and never uploaded, no image data crosses borders. The anonymous event counters described above may be processed by an analytics provider located outside your country; such providers are bound by their own processing terms for transfers (for example, EU standard contractual clauses where applicable). If you prefer not to send even these counters, a standard content blocker for analytics scripts stops them without affecting any tool — everything you came for keeps working, because the conversion pipeline itself has no network dependency.

California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. The practical answer is short: ImageToLine does not sell personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not build profiles from tool use. The only data potentially associated with your visit is the anonymous counter set described in the analytics section, which is not linked to an identified household or device by us.
